August 25, 2014 "I am so grateful to be out here teaching the Gospel"

HOLA! How are all of you doing?? I cant believe that summer is already over and school is starting!! I am sure that everyone is excited for school. So right now i live in a little (emphasis on little) house with my companion and another companionship. Elder Holt y Elder Salgado. Elder Holt is the district leader for Angachilla (which only consits of us two companionships) and Elder Salgado has only been here one more cambio (transfer) than I have and will finish his training at the end of this cambio. But we just recieve information that we will move into seprate house so that they are closer to theirs(they have to walk thirty minutes just to get into their sector) and the president prefers that there is only one companionship per house so that we can be more focused. Another fun thing I learned about humidity is that if your clothes get wet and you dont let them dry, mold (yes like mold on food) grows on them or any other thing. ELder johnson had a suit that he left in a protector thingy and hasnt worn it for a while. He took it out last week to wear it and there was mold all over it..... we took it to the dry cleaners today to see if it comes off. And also even though it is cold, we leave the windows open a little bit so that it doesnt get to humid. Because mold will also grow on the walls and other things laying around. Our investigators are doing well. On Sep. 6 we have a baptism set for Patricia. She has been doing really well. has a smoking problem but is doing good with that. She didnt come to church yesterday unforunately. But can still make it if she comes next week. Tina is a 22 year old that has a friend named Luciana. They live with Tinas Uncle Jose . Tina and Luciana basically ran away from home and joined the army for a couple years and are now working. Jose was baptized in 1983 and is a really good person. So nice to us. His wife is physically handicapped and is in a wheelchair. She is in active and doesnt want to go back. We are trying to work with her. But anyways, tina was introduced to the missionaries throught her uncle and has a baptismal date for sep 6 too. Luciana has a date for the 20 of sep. They both work a lot but are progressing a lot too. Also there is the family of Freddy and Claudia. They are not married but have three children (Esteban(9), Hacile(about 5 or 6), y Daniel(4)) Claudia is a less active and they have been taking lessons for about 4 months. Freddy's dad lives with them but is mentally handicapped and rambles about random stuff. Claudia has been coming to church these past two weeks with her kids and they are so awesome. Freddy has to stay with his dad but we have been trying to find a wheelchiar so that they can take his dad. They are both wonderful people and are so nice to us, but sometimes they like to just talk and it is dificult to get started wiht the lessons. We have been trying to not stay as long. Esteban wants to be baptized and has asked very inspired questions. So these are not all our investigators but they are progressing the most. I am so grateful to be out here teaching the gospel. I have learned so much and know that this is where I am suppose to be. The language is getting a lot easier but is still a little tough. Also as a commitment for everyone that reads this... by the end of two weeks, share the gospel with a friend or family member who is not a member and only knows a little about the church. Good Luck!!! Look up Alma 59:9... then read this quote ``it is better to prepare and prevent than to repair and repent.'' -Ezra Taft Bensen Love Elder Hughes
